Nintendo is back in the limelight with another showcase, this time catering to indie fans as it unveils a showcase dedicated to small teams crafting games for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its predecessor.
After the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, we didn't anticipate any new announcements for a while. However, we were pleasantly surprised.
Although it's not the standard Nintendo Direct showcase that many fans have been eagerly awaiting, Nintendo unexpectedly revealed a new batch of indie titles set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 and its predecessor, compensating for its absence during this year's Summer showcase season.
The new showcase has now concluded, and the good news is, it was impressive. There weren't any massive reveals, but it was filled with some exciting announcements from fantastic teams, including the teams behind Shovel Knight and Far: Changing Tides who are returning with fresh IPs.
Additionally, a new genre-bending game brings together team members from the development of Celeste and Hyper Light Drifter, resulting in a title that looks immersive and stunning.
