There are a couple of major overhauls coming to Diablo 4 in Season 8: Belial’s Return, with a significant battle pass rework being one of them.
Season 8 is debuting a new battle pass system called Reliquaries that aims to give players more freedom when it comes to unlocking items. Taking a lead out of ’s sector-based battle pass, Reliquaries let players choose the order in which they unlock their rewards.
As for the new battle pass system itself, it’s split into Battle Pass Reliquaries and Event Reliquaries . Battle Pass Reliquaries offer up four separate Reliquaries with one free option, and three paid Premium Reliquary options.

You don’t need to spend any Platinum on the free route, and you can even earn yourself a couple hundred Platinum while completing it. The three paid Premium Reliquary options will cost you Platinum to get however. There’s also a Premium Battle Pass Bundle which includes all three Premium Reliquaries if you don’t want to acquire the content piecemeal across the three passes; and of course, this works out a bit cheaper than buying all three premium offerings individually.
Battle Pass Reliquaries will be available for as long as the season they release with is running, and the bonus reward for each Reliquary in Season 8 is a piece of the Guise of the Deceiver armour set. If you complete all four Reliquaries, that nets you the whole set. Spend Favor Tokens to unlock Reliquary rewards, and complete them to unlock the bonus rewards.
Diablo 4 Season 8 Reliquaries priceThe 4 Season 8 Reliquaries are split into Belial’s Return, Weapons, Beasts, and Armour Reliquaries. Belial’s return is the free, non-premium option, while the three premium options cost 200 / 500 / 800 Platinum respectively. Alternatively you can dish out 1,000 Platinum for the Premium Battle Pass Bundle.

The smallest increment of Platinum you can buy is 500, moving to 1,000 and increasing from there on out. So here’s what the price of each Diablo 4 Season 8 Reliquary works out as, based on having to buy enough Platinum and starting from an empty purse. You’ll have to buy 500 Platinum minimum, even for the 200 Platinum Weapons reliquary.
You can also drop 2,800 Platinum on the Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle (as if there weren’t enough options!) which includes the full Guise of the Deceiver armour set for each class, access to the Weapons, Beasts, and Armor Reliquaries and more, which we’ll get into below.
- Belial’s Return Reliquary: free
- Weapons Reliquary (200 Platinum): £4.39 / $4.99 / AU$7.45
- Beasts Reliquary (500 Platinum): £4.39 / $4.99 / AU$7.45
- Armour Reliquary (800 Platinum): £8.39 / $9.99 / AU$14.95
- Premium Battle Pass Bundle (1,000 Platinum): £8.39 / $9.99 / AU$14.95
- Deluxe Battle Pass Bundle (2,800 Platinum): £20.99 / $24.99 / AU$37.45
As you can see, thanks to the increments you have to buy them in, it’s up to you as to whether you want to have some extra Platinum floating around (which you’ll have to spend anyway) or whether you want to put it all towards the Reliquaries.
If you’re considering the premium bundle, take note that as soon as an individual Reliquary is purchased, the Premium Battle Pass Bundle will no longer be available, so don’t buy anything until you know what you want.
