New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted doctors on the National Doctors' Day, and said they are truly protectors of health and pillars of humanity.
In a post on X, he said, "Our doctors have made a mark for their dexterity and diligence." He added, "Equally notable is their spirit of compassion. They are truly protectors of health and pillars of humanity. Their contribution in strengthening India's healthcare infrastructure is indeed exceptional." The day is observed to commemorate the contribution of doctors.
It also coincides with the birth anniversary of noted doctor Bidhan Chandra Roy, who served as chief minister of West Bengal as well.
