Lucknow: Rapid action is being taken against illegal encroachments in many districts of Uttar Pradesh bordering Nepal. While illegal constructions were demolished with bulldozers in some places, illegal constructions have been sealed in many districts. A massive encroachment removal campaign has been launched in areas bordering the border. Along with this, strict action has also been taken against illegal religious institutions located on the border. Rapid action has been taken in Bahraich, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Shravasti, Pilibhit and Maharajganj of Uttar Pradesh. 20 madrasas have also been identified in Balrampur.

while in Bahraich 143 encroachments were removed and 6 madrasas were sealed. Apart from this, action was taken against illegal religious places and 17 madrasas in Siddharthnagar. While 53 madrasas were sealed in Shravasti. Eviction action was taken against 151. One illegal religious place was demolished. While in Pilibhit 7 illegal madrasas and 77 illegal religious places were found. In Maharajganj, 34 illegal madrasas and religious places were found in the border areas, out of which two were demolished and action was taken against the remaining ones as well.
