There is a temple of the Sun God in the Aurangabad district of Maharashtra, where there is a huge crowd during the Chhath festival. A fair is also held here during the Chhath festival. It is believed that this temple was built by Lord Vishwakarma, the architect of the gods, with his own hands.
Sun Temple of Ranchi
Chhath Puja is performed with great pomp in the Sun Temple located near Bundu, 39 km from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. There is a Sun Temple made of marble here, in which Lord Surya riding on a chariot of 18 wheels and 7 horses is the center of attraction for the devotees. A large number of devotees reach here and worship Lord Surya. This temple was built by Emperor Bhimdev Solanki Pratham. He used to worship the Sun God as his family deity.

A world-famous Sun Temple in Konark, Odisha, is dedicated to Lord Sun. This temple is built in the shape of a chariot and during the Chhath festival, many devotees reach here to see the Sun God. This temple was built in the 13th century.
