Mumbai Indians secured a comfortable 7-wicket victory over in their IPL 2025 encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The match, which began at 7:30 PM, witnessed a dominant all-round performance by the visitors.
Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a modest total of 143/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen was the standout performer for SRH, anchoring the innings with a powerful 71 off 44 balls, featuring 9 boundaries and 2 towering sixes. He was well-supported by Abhinav Manohar, who contributed a steady 43 off 37 balls, including 2 fours and 3 sixes. However, apart from these two, the rest of the SRH batting lineup failed to make a significant impact.
Mumbai Indians' bowling attack was spearheaded by Trent Boult, who delivered a fiery spell, taking 4 wickets for 26 runs in his full quota of four overs. His crucial breakthroughs kept SRH in check and prevented them from building any meaningful momentum.

Chasing 144, Mumbai Indians looked in complete control from the outset. Opener Rohit Sharma led the charge with a classy 70 off 46 balls, smashing 8 boundaries and 3 sixes. His composed innings laid the foundation for a smooth chase. Suryakumar Yadav chipped in with a brisk 40 off 19 balls, including 5 boundaries and 2 sixes, helping MI cross the finish line with ease.
Jaydev Unadkat was the most effective bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad, returning figures of 1 for 25 in 3 overs. However, the SRH bowlers struggled to contain the MI batters as the target was chased down with plenty of balls to spare.
With this win, Mumbai Indians showcased their depth in both batting and bowling, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to regroup and address their middle-order concerns ahead of their next match.
