Mumbai: In view of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on April 14, thousands of followers are expected to gather at Chaityabhoomi in Dadar. To manage the anticipated crowd and ensure smooth traffic movement, Mumbai Traffic Police has announced special traffic arrangements from 12 PM on April 13 to 12 AM on April 14.
The directive, issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ and Central Region) Samadhan Pawar under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, imposes various road closures and one-way restrictions in the Dadar and Shivaji Park areas.
Road Closures and One-Way Restrictions:
S.K. Bole Road: One-way from Siddhivinayak Temple to Portuguese Church.

Swatantryaveer Savarkar Road: Closed from Siddhivinayak to Yes Bank (local access only).
Ranade Road & Dnyaneshwar Mandir Road: Completely closed to all vehicles.
Heavy vehicles will be diverted from Mahim Junction towards L.J. Road.
Alternative Routes:
Vehicles heading to South Mumbai should use the Sion Hospital route or the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.
For North Mumbai, motorists can use R.A.K. Road, Matunga, or the Sea Link.
Vehicles from Mahalaxmi station will be directed via Senapati Bapat Road.
Wadala Bridge and the Eastern Freeway are also recommended alternatives.
