On this day, devotees offer special offerings (Navratri Day 7 Bhog) to the Goddess. On the seventh day, offering sweet offerings to Goddess Kaalratri is considered auspicious, especially Malpua. It is believed that the Goddess enjoys Malpua offerings. Let's learn its recipe.
Easy Malpua Recipe
Ingredients:
Maida (flour) - 1 cup
Semolina (semolina) - 2 tablespoons
Milk - 1 cup
Fennel seeds - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Ghee - for frying
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Nuts - for garnishing (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
Method:
First, combine the flour, semolina, fennel seeds, and milk in a bowl and mix well.
The mixture should be neither too thick nor too thin. Cover and let it sit for 15-20 minutes so that the semolina swells.
Now, prepare the syrup by adding sugar and water to a pan. Add cardamom powder and turn off the heat. Ensure the syrup has a uniform consistency.
Heat the ghee in a pan. Pour a ladleful of the prepared batter and spread it into a circular shape. Fry the malpuas over low heat until golden brown on both sides.
Immerse the fried malpuas in hot sugar syrup for 2-3 minutes. Then, transfer them to a plate, sprinkle chopped nuts on top, and offer them as an offering.

On the seventh day of Navratri, worshipping Maa Kaalratri and offering malpuas is considered highly auspicious. Malpuas are not only delicious but also very easy to prepare. After offering them to the Goddess, the festival becomes even more vibrant when the entire family enjoys the prasad. This Navratri, be sure to offer homemade malpuas to Maa Kaalratri and, with her blessings, attain happiness, prosperity, and positive energy in your life.
