Gujarat Titans (GT) team has come very close to IPL playoffs by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Captain Shubman Gill played a big role in Gujarat's victory. He scored 76 runs in 38 balls. Seeing this innings of Shubman Gill, it seemed that he would score a century but a controversial decision dashed his hopes. Shubman was so angry with this that he clashed with the umpire.
Shubman Gill was run out on the last ball of the 13th over. Zeeshan Ansari's ball hit Jos Butler's bat and went to short fine leg. After this Butler and Shubman Gill ran fast for a run. Harshal Patel pounced on the ball and made a fast throw. Harshal's throw was very close to the wicket. Wicketkeeper Heinrich Klaasen gave a little direction to this throw with his gloves and the bails scattered.
When the bails fell, along with the ball, Klaasen's glove was also close to the wicket. Due to this, the field umpire sought help from TV umpire Michael Gough. The TV umpire declared that Shubman Gill run out after watching different angles for a long time. Gill then walked out of the field shaking his head. As soon as he crossed the boundary, Gill faced the fourth umpire and started arguing there.

Abhishek's innings of 74 runs went in vain.
Talking about the match, Gujarat Titans batted first and scored 224 runs for 6 wickets. Apart from Shubman Gill (76), Jos Buttler (64) and Sai Sudarshan (48) batted brilliantly. In response, Abhishek Sharma (74) batted well for Sunrisers Hyderabad but he did not get the support from the other end that was needed to make the team win.
