In a rare interview, Shloka Mehta Ambani, businesswoman, philanthropist, and daughter-in-law of Mukesh Ambani, spoke openly about being a working mum, chasing her goals, and creating a meaningful legacy.
Speaking on Masoom Minawala’s podcast, Shloka shared her thoughts as the co-founder of ConnectFor, a platform that links volunteers with NGOs across India.
“I take a lot of pride in telling my kids, just like you go to school, mama has to go to the office. We’re all doing something to better ourselves,” she said.
“You’re creating something that someone you truly care about is going to learn from. That, I think, is the best legacy to leave your children.”
Shloka studied anthropology at Princeton and later did law at the London School of Economics.
In 2014, after moving back to Mumbai, she and her childhood friend Maniti Shah started ConnectFor.
In 2019, Shloka married Akash Ambani, her childhood friend.
The couple now have two children, Prithvi, born in 2020, and Veda, born in 2023.
