It looks like Rashmika Mandana may have celebrated Diwali with Vijay (no, not the ‘Animal’ one). Although her ‘ Geetha Govindam’ co-star and rumoured boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda didn’t feature in the pictures, the actress revealed that the photos have been clicked by the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star’s brother Anand, which led to fans theorising that the rumoured lovebirds may have celebrated Diwali together in Hyderabad.
In the pictures, the ‘Dear Comrade’ actress looked radiant in a beige-coloured kurta and crimson skirt as she held up a urli diya with flowers. Dropping the pictures on Instagram, Rashmika wrote, “Diwali photoshoot doneeeee! Happiest Diwali, my lovelies!” The actress later wrote: “Photo credits: @ananddeverakonda. Thankyouuuu Anandaaaa!
The post went viral on Instagram, gaining more than 2.5 million likes.
The ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor also shared his Diwali celebration pictures on his Instagram handle. He was seen posing with his parents, brother, and pet husky. “Happy Diwali, my loves. Sending you all big hugs and my love…” his caption read. One fan quipped, “Rashmika should be there in picture with family..”
Deverakonda looked cosy in an olive-green kurta. He was seen bursting firecrackers with his brother.
On Thursday, Rashmika shared a new poster from her upcoming movie ' Pushpa 2: The Rule', featuring Allu Arjun, and extended a “Happy Diwali!” greeting to her fans.
Upcoming Projects
Rashmika has a busy slate with multiple Telugu and Hindi projects. Her films 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' and 'Chhaava' are set to hit theaters on December 5 and 6 this year. In 'Pushpa', she returns as Srivalli, the wife of Pushpa Raj, while in 'Chhaava', she portrays Yesubai Bhonsale, wife of Sambhaji. She is also currently filming Rainbow, The Girlfriend, and Kubera in Telugu, along with 'Sikandar' and 'Thama' in Hindi.
Vijay will soon appear in two untitled films, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and Rahul Sankrityan. His most recent film was 'The Family Star'. Anand is gearing up for his next project, titled 'Duet', following his last appearance in 'Gam Gam Ganesha'.
