China said on Thursday it would suspend for one year certain export restrictions, including on rare earth materials, that were announced this month.   
   
"China will suspend the implementation of the relevant export control measures, which was announced on 9 October, for one year, and will study and refine specific plans," an unnamed commerce ministry spokesperson said.
