In the 18th match of the (IPL), Punjab Kings (PBKS) were set a target of 206 runs by Rajasthan Royals (RR), hoping to secure their third victory of the season. Batting first, RR posted a total of 205 runs, powered by a solid innings from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 67 off 45 balls. Skipper Sanju Samson contributed a quick 38 off 26 balls, while Riyan Parag added a fiery 43 off 25 balls.
In the second innings, while chasing the mammoth target of 206, PBKS were rocked early by RR, who picked up four wickets within the first seven overs, reducing PBKS to 43 for 4. Jofra Archer played a key role in tightening the grip, claiming two wickets, both bowled, through his spell.

Meanwhile, PBKS were 110 for 4 at the end of the 13th over with Glenn Maxwell (29 off 19) and Nehal Wadhera (43 off 30) in the crease, needing 96 from the last seven overs.
