Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], November 1 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday remembered former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of the state's Foundation Day.
"I extend my best wishes to the people of Chhattisgarh on this Foundation Day. I bow to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the founder of Chhattisgarh state," the CM said while speaking to reporters.
CM Sai also extended wishes to the people of Chhattisgarh for Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and Chhath Puja.
The Chief Minister celebrated Diwali with his family at his residence in Bagiya Village, Jashpur district.
Earlier in the day, CM Sai said in a post on X that they are working to improve the state

"Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the state on Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day. With the grace and blessings of Chhattisgarh Mahtari, we are working to improve the state by following the path of good governance. The state is continuously moving forward in the direction of realizing the vision with which the former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna, the most revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had created the state of Chhattisgarh," the CM wrote.
"May our Chhattisgarh continue to move on the path of progress and prosperity; may this bowl of rice always remain full, this is my wish. Come, on this unique occasion of the State Festival, let us celebrate the State Festival along with Deepotsav by lighting lamps in our homes. Hail Johar, Hail Chhattisgarh", he added.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, and Kerala on their Foundation Day. He highlighted the contributions of each state to the country in various fields, including cultural heritage, development, preservation, and natural resources.
For Chhattisgarh, he said, "I wish that this state, adorned with a wonderful confluence of glorious folk traditions and tribal culture, continues to progress rapidly on the path of development."
Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also extended his greetings to the people of various states and Union Territories.
"Greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Lakshadweep on their Foundation Day today.
