Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai on Saturday took part in a shobha yatra on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Varanasi and said that for the past 25 years, they have been celebrating Hanuman Jayanti in this way.
"We have been celebrating Hanuman Jayant in this way for the last 25 years in the city of Baba Vishwanath. We pray for the entire country, the state, and the people of Kashi," Rai told ANI.
Devotees across the country thronged to the temples and offered prayers on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Saturday.
Several devotees also gathered at the Hanuman Temple in Lucknow on the occasion to offer their prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman, who is known for his unwavering devotion, courage, and strength.
Jabalpur's Pachmatha temple had prepared a special Maha Thali with 56 traditional dishes from across India and a massive 5,000 kg laddu.
