Hyundai Alcazar gets wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto: Details

Hyundai Motor India has finally introduced the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the Hyundai Alcazar MPV. However, there’s a catch, this new feature can be accessed through a new wired-to-wireless adapter which is available at an extra cost of Rs 3,800. This new adopter should be plugged into a USB A port and this adopter can be used on the Prestige, Platinum and Signature trims of the Alcazar SUV.


The Hyundai Alcazar is a feature-packed SUV, yet even in its top-spec Signature trim, priced at Rs 21.5 lakh, it lacked wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Hyundai has now addressed this by introducing a wired-to-wireless adapter. This feature enhances convenience and simplifies the infotainment experience. Whether it’s navigation, music streaming, or voice commands, the wireless adapter allows seamless access to supported mobile apps via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system.


Other features include dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, dual wireless chargers, Type-C USB ports, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and 8-way powered front seats with two levels of memory function for the driver, dual-zone climate control, steering mounted controls, voice commands, OTA updates, air purifier, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers and much more, ambient lighting and much more.

In terms of safety, it gets a 360-degree camera, six airbags (as standard), ISOFIX child seat mounts, TCS, stability control and Level 2 ADAS features such as as Forward Collision Warning and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (car, pedestrian, cyclist, junction turning), Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Safe Exit Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist.


The Alcazar is offered with two engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. The petrol engine puts out 160hp of power and 253Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm and is paired with a 6MT or a 6AT gearbox.
