In a move aimed at addressing potential issues in its older and existing models, Honda Cars India has announced a recall of 92,672 cars across several models. This recall includes the 90,468 units initially flagged, along with an additional 2,204 cars previously fitted with replacement parts.
Honda Cars India recall: What’s the issue
The issue centers on defective impellers within the fuel pumps, which may cause the engine to stall or fail to start. The manufacturer has assured customers that the replacement will be offered at no cost and will begin at dealerships nationwide on November 5, 2024. Affected owners are being notified directly, and customers can confirm eligibility by entering their VIN on Honda’s website.
Besides that, customers who purchased a spare fuel pump between June 2017 and October 2023 are advised to have their cars inspected.

Models covered in this recall include popular choices such as the Amaze , City, BR-V , Jazz , Brio , WR-V, and Accord , spanning both active and discontinued models. The affected models were manufactured between August 2017 and June 2018.
Honda’s latest recall includes 2,204 units across models like the Accord, Amaze, Brio, BR-V, City, Civic, Jazz, and WR-V. The earlier phase of this recall covered 18,851 units of the Amaze manufactured between September 2017 and June 2018, as well as 32,872 units of the City produced from September 2017 to June 2018.
