Meeting every child where they are: ABLE UK offers personalised, multidisciplinary paediatric therapy services in Dubai

Send Push

ABLE UK is founded on one core belief: each child is unique, and their care plan should reflect that. The centre works with children of all ages facing developmental delays, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, and other behavioural or neurological challenges. Whether a child is dealing with speech delays, coordination issues, sensory processing differences, or more complex diagnoses, the team delivers personalised, evidence-based interventions tailored to their strengths, needs, and environment.

All services are offered in one convenient location at Building 33 – 1st and 2nd Floor, Dubai Healthcare City, ensuring integrated care and easier access for families. The centre’s comprehensive range of therapies includes:

  • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA): A research-backed approach for children with autism or behavioural needs, enhancing communication, learning, and social skills through structured reinforcement.

  • Occupational Therapy (OT): Helping children build essential life and learning skills for independence.

  • Myofunctional Therapy (MFT): Addressing breathing and oral function issues that affect facial growth and development.

  • Speech and Language Therapy (SLT): Supporting expressive, receptive, and social communication in children facing language delays or articulation issues.

  • Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) & Feeding Therapy (FT): Improving oral motor skills and feeding for children with sensory or motor-based challenges.

  • Physiotherapy (PT): Supporting mobility, strength, and coordination for children with neurological or physical needs, including expertise in working with preterm infants.

  • Psychological Assessments: Led by in-house clinical psychologist Mr. Joey Sura, the diagnostic services identify developmental, learning, or attention challenges. The team also supports schools by providing assessments for children who need accommodations.

  • STEPS Transition Programme: Designed to prepare children for mainstream or special education settings, STEPS run according to the school calendar and builds both academic and functional school-readiness skills. This includes pre-literacy, numeracy, classroom behaviour, social interaction, and daily routines, offering a smooth and confident transition into formal education.

  • Training & Mentorship: Intensive training programmes are provided for the in-house team, parents, and the broader professional community. ABLE UK also mentors newly graduated
professionals and regularly invites global experts to the UAE for specialist workshops.

  • In-house Training Centre Facility: This space is designed to host professional training programmes, workshops, and events. It supports ongoing development for the team, parents, and the wider community through expert-led sessions, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities.

To meet growing demand, ABLE UK has opened a new branch in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (DMCC), offering families in central and southern Dubai easier access to the full range of multidisciplinary services. The new branch maintains the same high standard of care, aligned with the mission to make expert intervention accessible and timely.

Beyond therapy: Advocating for inclusion

On July 25, 2025, ABLE UK was recognised by the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, becoming one of the first paediatric centres in the Middle East to receive this honour. This global initiative promotes understanding and visibility for people with non-visible disabilities in schools, airports, and other public spaces.

Aman Sura, director of ABLE UK, shared: “Joining the Sunflower initiative reflects our commitment to inclusion. We want every child-whether their challenges are visible or not to feel supported and seen.”

Gursaran Sura, CEO and co-founder, added: “When we started in 2015 with a small team, we knew the UAE needed a child-first, integrated therapy model. Today, we’ve helped hundreds of children build not just skills, but confidence. Many are now thriving in mainstream schools and daily life.”

ABLE UK is also proud of its culturally responsive care. With many children in the UAE growing up bilingual or multilingual, therapists adapt assessments to reflect linguistic and cultural diversity, ensuring results are accurate and meaningful.

What sets ABLE UK apart is its commitment to ongoing growth. The team actively refines tools and interventions based on real-life conditions - such as attention span, environment, and motivation so that gains made in the clinic transfer to the home, school, and beyond.

Parents consistently describe their experience at ABLE UK as transformative. One mother shared: “We had visited several clinics before, but only at ABLE UK did we feel truly understood. They didn’t just assess our son - they built a plan that worked and supported us throughout.”

Because services are integrated, families experience fewer delays and more consistent, collaborative support. Psychologists, therapists, and educators work in sync to ensure each child receives the right help at the right time.

A message to families: Don’t wait

If there’s one message ABLE UK hopes families take to heart, it’s this: early action matters. Intervening during the early developmental years can make a profound difference in a child’s path. Waiting often leads to increased emotional, social, and academic difficulties later on.

As one of the lead psychologists puts it: “A diagnosis isn’t a label - it’s a roadmap. It gives families clarity, direction, and most importantly, options.”

With over 350 children supported weekly across more than 17,000 sq ft of world-class therapy space, ABLE UK is more than a clinic. It’s a centre of possibility, inclusion, and lasting impact.
