Calling herself a “reluctant crypto journalist,” Fong first gained attention after losing $200,000 in Celsius during the pandemic and sharing her story in a YouTube video that went viral.

She later conducted interviews with FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) while he was under house arrest. SBF reportedly shared over 200 pages of internal documents with her, some of which were later shared with The New York Times, affecting legal proceedings involving Caroline Ellison.

Born on March 19, 1994, in Las Vegas Fong was reportedly worried that turning down Musk’s offer might affect her earnings on X, where creators are monetised based on engagement. After her refusal, Musk unfollowed her on the platform.
