Nowadays we all use smartphones. From talking to banking, shopping, and taking photos, everything is done through smartphones. But have you ever thought that your phone can also listen to your conversations? But the question arises how does this happen? Many times we give such permission to our phone that it can record the conversations around us. This can reveal your conversations, details, and habits to a third party. If you want to avoid this, then turn off these 3 settings immediately.
Google Assistant Settings
The smartphone has Google Voice assistant which gets activated as soon as you say “Hey Google”. This feature keeps the microphone always on. Due to this, the conversations around you can also be recorded. You should always keep it off without need. For this, go to the phone's Settings. Click on Google. After this go to All Services and click on Search. There will be an option of Assistant & Voice here. Click on it. Now go to Google Assistant and turn off Hey Google. This will not keep your microphone active all the time.
Mic Permission
Many apps ask for microphone permission even without need. In such a situation, they can listen to your conversation, whether you are using them or not. You can check it like this and also turn it off. For this, go to Settings and click on Apps. Here check in Permissions and click on Microphone. Here see which apps have microphone permission. Remove microphone permission from those apps which are not necessary.
Always Listening Feature
Some smartphones have a feature that always listens to your voice so that it can answer immediately. But this can also become a threat to your privacy. If it is in your phone, then you can turn it off like this. For this also go to the phone's Settings and click on Accessibility or Privacy. Here you will find it in options like Always listening or Voice Wake Up. Turn it off.
Apart from this, before installing any third-party app, definitely read its review. Not only this, while registering on the app, also pay attention to the terms and conditions and be cautious while allowing permission.
