Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal players proved very popular figures at the National Stadium in Singapore on Friday. Ahead of Sunday's game against Newcastle United at the same venue, the Gunners put on an open training session that was extremely well attended by supporters.
All attending were keen to get a closer look at their heroes in action and get an insight into what an Arsenal training session actually looks like. Arteta's side have already made a positive start to their summer tour after beating AC Milan 1-0 on Wednesday courtesy of Bukayo Saka's second-half strike.
Premier League rivals Newcastle are up next on Sunday, before the team travel to Hong Kong next week for a North London Derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur. Here are four things we spotted in open training at the National Stadium:

Lots of love for ArsenalArsenal supporters in Singapore were so eager to see the squad in action that they were ready and waiting to go a couple of hours ahead of the training session. A large group of fans were at the fan park just outside the stadium that was attended by club greats Ray Parlour, Gilberto Silva and the mighty Gunnersaurus.
Hundreds of supporters were waiting outside the stadium to enter two hours before training in their quest to ensure they got the best possible seats close to the tunnel. Once inside, fans cheered loudly for the players as they entered the field, sung 'North London Forever' and also made it clear what they think about Tottenham.
Mosquera trainsCristhian Mosquera is now with his new Arsenal teammates after finally completing his move from Valencia on Thursday evening. The Spaniard adds to the options in defence and he will be keen to make an immediate impact on the pre-season tour.
The 21-year-old was involved in the training session at the National Stadium and he was given a huge ovation when his name was read out on the PA system. It came as no surprise to see the centre-back immediately go to fellow countryman Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino on the pitch as they had a game of two touch.
Just before the real training started, the Gunners players all gathered together and lined up in two separate lines. Mosquera then had to run between both and he was slapped on his head and back by his teammates a number of times as he was well and truly welcomed to the club.
Gabriel spottedThere are currently question marks over Gabriel Magalhaes' fitness after he was not included in the matchday squad on Wednesday for the AC Milan game. The Brazilian had played in the behind-closed-doors fixture against Watford last weekend but was then left out to face the Rossoneri. Jurrien Timber was also not involved as he works his way back to fitness after undergoing surgery towards the end of last season.
Speaking in his post-match press conference on Wednesday, Arteta said: "With Jurrien he is still not there. He is still not fully training yet with us. Gabby had a little niggle the other day in training. Because the fact that he has been out so long as well we have to manage him.
"We have been in Spain, different pitch, different conditions, go to the UK, different ones, come here, again a lot of changes. We have to minimise the risk with him."
Gabriel and Timber were present at training but they did not take any part in the session. Instead, they wore their trainers and were involved in a team meeting before heading back to the dugout to watch on from the side.
What they didBefore taking to the field of play, the Arsenal squad worked behind the dugout as they underwent a number of stretches on mats and also warmed up their legs on the exercise bikes. After a short period on the pitch just passing the ball between themselves, a whistle sounded and the team came over to the touchline together to take a look at a tactics board for a good few minutes before commencing their session.
After taking part in a couple of small-sided games, the squad split into two and played separate games against the coaching staff in one half of the pitch with the aim of breaking them down and scoring as they practiced their attacking play. The Arsenal team again divided into groups and worked on their finishing before time was called.
A number of players went towards the stands to meet fans, pose for photographs and sign memorabilia. A group of lucky children then had the opportunity to take to the pitch with the Arsenal players and kick the ball about with them which is no doubt a moment they will treasure forever.
