'Sleek' and 'elegant' £60 New Look boots 'just like' £1k Stella McCartney version

New Look is stocking a pair of boots that bear a striking resemblance to a designer alternative. Known for its affordable fashion, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.

The retailer's look similar to a style by high end brand Stella McCartney, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the New Look version for £60, while the carry a price tag of £1,040 online.

The boots look almost identical, both featuring a leather-look finish, pointed toe and knee high length. Both pairs are also vegan friendly and have a sculpted heel.

However, there are some differences; the designer version feature a zip fastening at the back, while the high street boots have a side zip. The has silver hardware, while New Look's is black.

The product description reads: "Sleek and simple but with maximum impact, these knee-high boots are a versatile option to match with multiple outfit options. Their Comfort features make sure your day or night is a comfortable one."

The Stella McCartney description said: "New for Winter 2024, these Elsa boots are crafted from Stella McCartney’s butter-soft vegan alternative to leather. Shaped to a streamlined, knee-high silhouette with an exaggerated pointed toe, they sit comfortably on a 90mm sculpted heel."

Among the reviews online, one shopper called the "very elegant." They added: "Lovely to wear with a long dress." A second wrote: "Nice boots but a bit big around the calf."

Others also called the boots "lovely", but claimed the calf area is "too big". Another added: "They are far too big around the calf area - on the model they look like a much tighter/ tailored fit, which was what I wanted. So disappointed I had to send them back."

While the New Look boots are priced at £59.99, the Stella McCartney Elsa Knee-High Heeled Boots are currently £1,040 online. This gives shoppers the chance to save around £980 if they opt for the high street alternative.
