Perfect night in revealed as more than half of Brits say it's better than going out

As the nights grow longer and the , Brits are transforming their homes into entertainment zones - with 53 percent insisting that staying in is JUST as fun as going out. As many as 68 percent of the nation said they would prefer to stay in this winter, due to dark, cold nights (34 percent), with 42 percent having spruced up their homes ready for gatherings with friends.

The research, commissioned by PerfectDraft, revealed a host of imaginative ways Brits are elevating their entertaining - with bar snacks (52 percent) draught beer machines (30 percent) dart boards (26 percent) and cocktail shakers (21 percent) emerging as key components.

While 17 percent have invested in a karaoke machine, 12 percent have installed a big screen TV for sports - and more than one in ten (11 percent) have even gone as far as installing DJ decks to get the party going. To avoid lingering guests, 6 percent even have a bell to call last orders, with table football (10 percent), retro style jukeboxes (9 percent) and pint glasses “borrowed” from the pub (8%) among the list of night in essentials.

PerfectDraft enables beer enthusiasts to enjoy the ultimate draught beer experience at home, and the magic of pouring their own perfectly chilled pint. A solid 72% of Brits are confident they know how to pour a pint, while 68 percent assert that good quality beverages are essential when hosting a great evening. In fact, 56 percent have (or plan) to create a home bar to serve guests with perfect pints and cocktails.
