Mike Tyson stormed into Donald Trump's office to make wife accusation

Mike Tyson once confronted and accused him of sleeping with his wife.

Trump, 78, has a rich history with the former heavyweight champion of the . The former president and returning Republican candidate was the financial power behind Tyson's 1988 fight with Michael Spinks, which saw the New York native win by knockout within 91 seconds.

However, the pair reportedly came to blows when Trump was accused of having an affair with Tyson's wife at the time, Robin Givens. It led to a terrifying altercation which saw the knockout artist walk into Trump's New York office and accuse the billionaire of sleeping with his wife.

The claims come from author Tim O'Brien, who detailed the story in his book 'TrumpNation'. The passage, as chronicled by, read: "He said, 'Could I ask you, are you f***ing my wife?'

"Now, if I froze, I'm dead... You would have zero chance. Here's the heavyweight champion of the world, and he's a solid piece of f***ing armour."

It's unknown as to what happened at the end of that meeting. What is known is that Tyson and Trump were boxing's odd couple for some time in the 1980s.

Trump was understood to have been an adviser to the heavyweight colossus during their career. But things would end quickly when Trump started dating Givens.

Tyson and Givens married in 1987 but separated one year later, not long after Tyson found out about the rumours with Trump. Their time together would end amid speculation of domestic abuse and mental instability.

In his book, ‘Fire and Fear: The Inside Story of ’, he admitted he punched Given with what he described as: “The best punch I’ve ever thrown in my entire life." Tyson would go on to marry his second wife Monica Turner on April 19, 1997.

They went on to have two children with each other named Rayna and Amir. Six years after they tied the knot, the couple divorced and went their separate ways.

Despite their history together, Tyson endorsed Trump's bid to be re-elected as president in 2020. He told: “A guy that came from where he came from, doing what he’s doing in that field, and now this is where he’s at now.

"You know what that means? That doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy and the people don’t know what they’re doing; that means the people are tired of what you’re doing, what you’ve been doing the last 20 years…So we got to change. So no let’s try something new. Let’s run America like a business, where no colors matter. Whoever can do the job gets the job.”

Ahead of this year's election Tyson has been preparing for his lucrative bout with social media sensation . He will be facing the Ohio native on November 15, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
