Man City 115 charges requests revealed as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham braced for verdict

Government officials have been asking for updates around Manchester City’s charges by the , according to documents released. The case for an alleged 115 breaches of Premier League financial rules is currently ongoing and is expected to end this month.

If City are found guilty of the alleged breaches, then they could face punishments including a hefty points deduction or even expulsion from the league. The club vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

As reported by , documents obtained by the paper show that former conservative foreign secretary James Cleverly asked for an update on the case back in September 2023. The British Embassy in Dubai also asked for the latest Foreign Office guidance around the case in May this year.

United Arab Emirates Vice President Sheikh Mansour owns Man City. It was however confirmed by the Foreign Office that the process is completely independent by the Premier League with them having no involvement.

Under Pep Guardiola, City have won the Premier League title six times, including four over the last four seasons. Over the last two campaigns, they have been challenged by Arsenal, who have just missed out.
