MAFS UK fans have slammed a scene in tonight's episode as the couples settled into their partner's actual homes.
Labelled home stays week, it was a chance for the brides and grooms to see what life is really like for their other halves away from the show.
During the episode broadcast this evening (October 31), viewers watched as groom Nathan started his stay at bride Lacey's place, which she shares with her sister Paige and mother Maxine. The atmosphere turned frosty when Maxine reminded him of a previous squabble where Nathan had quipped that her cooking resembled "bottom bin".
The awkwardness escalated when Maxine unexpectedly barged into Nathan's bedroom and hopped onto the bed with him and Lacey, followed by Paige and the family dog, leaving Nathan visibly confused.
However, it was a particular moment when Nathan was doing some DIY in the house that really got viewers talking. As he touched up some marks on the wall, Lacey's mum was seen getting handsy with him, tickling and massaging his shoulders, and showering him with praise while he attempted to concentrate on the task, reports .
From another room, Lacey's voice rang out, "Mum, stop flirting with my man," shortly before her mum confessed to the cameras how "extremely lucky" Lacey was, cheekily remarking, "If she don't want him, I'll have him."
"I feel like I shouldn't be watching this," one viewer confessed, while another show enthusiast remarked: "This mother in law is a bit full on...making me cringe."
"Could [you] imagine if it was a dad all over one of the brides like Lacey's mum was over Nathan? " another posted. One more fan commented: "The lack of boundaries in Lacey's household is act insane."
"What have I just watched at Lacey's house? " one person pondered, with another adding: "That was INCREDIBLY uncomfortable with Lacey's mum."
MAFS UK continues on Monday night at 9pm on E4
