Harry Kane responds to making Premier League return after 'difficult' Germany admission

Harry Kane has admitted he could return to the in the future, despite hoping to stay at for many years.

Kane last summer, with the German giants forking out a record £100million to sign the captain. Although he is yet to win a trophy in Bavaria, has been in prolific goalscoring form.

Kane netted 44 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions last season, which saw him at the ceremony earlier this week. And speaking at the event in Paris, Kane told the : "I'm really enjoying it [at Bayern].

"I am learning [the language] and doing two lessons a week. I have a good teacher at Bayern. For me it is difficult but hopefully I will be there for many years and at some stage will be able to talk a bit of German."

However, when asked if he plans to return to the , the 31-year-old admitted: "Maybe one day." Kane scored 213 Premier League goals during his time at , a figure that leaves him second behind 260 on the all-time goalscorers list.

And when Kane was unveiled as a Bayern player last summer, he made mention of Shearer's record and hinted he would come back to England to try and surpass it. "It's always going to be a tough decision; I was at Tottenham for 19 years of my life, so everyone knows the club is connected with me and my heart," he said.

"But ultimately, I'm a professional and I've always pushed myself to my limits and I just felt like the time was right. I needed to be playing at the highest level, in the , trying to win titles every year.

"When I thought about it and Bayern got in touch, it was a decision I wanted to make. People will talk about the record and Shearer, but I've got plenty of football left in my career.

"For now, it's about trying to achieve things here and trying to push myself and the team to try and reach new levels with this club. That's all my focus is on right now."
