Cosy pubs for private hire stays where you can pour yourself a pint for just £1.50

More and more thirsty holidaymakers are hiring private pubs to pour themselves pints.

A recent study by found there has been a 450 per cent increase in searches for “rent a pub for the weekend” in the past five years across the country. Now GroupAccommodation.com is giving Brits that opportunity to do this, making it easier to rent out entire boozers by creating a dedicated pubs and inns page on its website.

Ed Maughan, the managing director of the specialist large group accommodation provider, said: “It makes sense that Brits are seeking to rent entire pubs out rather than just staying in pub accommodation overnight, especially as research from only this year revealed that four in 10 Brits are actively seeking out new and unique experiences.

“Renting out an entire pub satisfies this growing demand for memorable and unique getaways and with many Brits having an attachment to quintessential pub culture, it makes for the perfect, cosy retreat for them to enjoy in privacy."

Lucasland Holiday Cottages in Filey, Yorkshire

The Lucasland Holiday Cottages in Filey, sleep up to 18 guests across three cottages. The complex is composed of barn conversions, which have been restored to preserves original period features, including beamed ceilings and chalk walls.

The holiday cottages also feature a traditional pub available for exclusive use. Guests can order 11-gallons kegs of beer from the owners, costing just £1.55 a pint. The kegs will be fitted before guest arrivals so they can pull their own pints as soon as they walk through the door.

The complex also has a Great Hall, which is 50ft long and offers a great space for entertaining with a grand piano, seating for up to 16 people, and a 10ft wide cinema screen for a home cinema experience beneath chandeliers and oak beams.
