Blake Lively reveals 'magic' trick for bigger lips - and credits Gen Z for discovery

The internet is jam-packed with lip-plumping hacks - from tingly lip glosses to natural ingredients like pepper - and now Blake Lively has turned to Gen Z for some pout-perfecting inspiration.

Despite influencers and celebrities popularising lip filler, here are plenty of ways to achieve a fuller pout without going under the needle. This tried and tested method, loved by Hollywood actress , is a pain-free way to get the appearance of bigger lips, and it's all down to the power of makeup.

The hack that the American actress swears by actually involves eyeshadow - and the results have left fans mesmerised.

Praising the hack, Blake shared a selfie from her bathroom and said: "When @cgonzalezbeauty does the Gen Z eye shadow lip trick to make your lips look huge…"

She then posted a makeup-free selfie on the next slide and said, "You wash off your makeup and accept that you are a millennial girl who, in high school, used to wear lip gloss with alarming amounts of chilli [sic] peppers inside for a plump because we were THAT committed to bad ideas.

"Turns out eyeshadows are way less painful than Carolina Reapers," she joked before thanking her makeup artist for not turning her mouth "into an episode of Hot Ones." The hack involves using eyeshadow to create a smoky effect around the lip shape to give the illusion they are a lot bigger, before topping it off with lipstick.

Blake's makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez then took to her to share the products she used. Carolina revealed she used Armani's to "softly contour".

It's not the first time Blake Lively's lip combinations have got fans talking. For her appearance on the red carpet for the It Ends With Us premiere, Blake paired a pink and gold sequin dress with a rose-tinted soft glam for her makeup.

Makeup artist used a combination of warm gold tones for her eyes and , using a full face of products from Chanel for the look, including a must-have .

To create her rosy lip, Blake added a final swipe of the , £40, in shade Darling Pink to her pout.

Currently, Blake's exact is sold out almost everywhere. However, Timeless Beige and Light Rose both offer a similar dusty, rosy pink to help you mimic Blake's red carpet look.
