Mikel Arteta will be hoping to see his Arsenal team hit new heights during the 2025/26 campaign. The Gunners have improved drastically over the last few years but are still waiting for that major piece of silverware to make this era a successful one.
Early into his tenure as head coach, Arteta did win the FA Cup but it is quite clear he wants something bigger. In the last three Premier League campaigns, Arsenal have finished second while they reached the Champions League semi-finals earlier this year.
Injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Martin Odegaard impacted Arteta significantly last season but with a deeper squad now available to him, following the arrival of six new players, he will be hoping that does not happen again.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres have all joined with over £200 million spent.
Excitement for the latter is particularly high as Arteta finally has an elite-level striker available. Having missed a lot of pre-season, the Swede may take some time to get up to speed but he showed off his undeniable quality in front of goal during the 3-0 friendly win over Athletic Club on Saturday.
Ten minutes before half time, Gyokeres powerfully headed home a Zubimendi cross for his first goal at Arsenal. Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz were also on target with Arteta admitting the latter and Gyokeres can feature in the same XI.
"They can play together or Kai can play in different positions," the Spaniard said. "It elevates the quality in the squad, the options we have in the team and the options to provide opposition with a lot of problems."
However, it is the potential link-up between Gyokeres and Saka that will be exciting Arsenal supporters. For the last few years, the England international has been relied upon heavily with 141 senior goal contributions to his name since 2019 proving exactly that.
Considering what he has shown since transitioning from the academy to the first-team, it is absolutely no surprise that he is valued at a maximum of £96.1m (€111m), as per the value tool on CIES Football Observatory.
With Gyokeres alongside him, that figure will likely only increase going forward as he now has a natural goal-scorer to supply.
The arrival of Madueke, despite it being possible less minutes will come his way, should also benefit Saka as it will be far less likely that he suffers any injuries or muscle fatigue.
The 23-year-old is also capable of playing off the left with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard potentially impacted. The Belgium international could still be sold, though, with Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson as others expected to be on the move.
