Liverpool has been hit with a double injury setback as both and Harvey Elliott are not expected back until at least after next month's international break.
The good news for , however, is that as they prepare to defend their Carabao Cup title in the fourth-round match at Brighton this Wednesday evening.
Jota has been recovering from an upper body injury he got during a clash with Chelsea's Tosin Adarabioyo in the 2-1 Premier League victory at Anfield, which saw him bruised and floored by the defender, as detailed by Reds head coach Arne Slot.
Elliott has been out of action since early September due to a fractured foot incurred on England under-21s duty. This means the pair will miss key fixtures including Saturday’s league encounter with Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen’s Champions League visit next Tuesday, and then a crucial top-four face-off with Aston Villa at Anfield.
On the topic of Jota's potential return before the upcoming international break, Slot commented: "No, it will be after that. Elliott the same."
Meanwhile, Bradley hasn't featured in the last three matches because of an injury sustained while playing for Northern Ireland. Slot, addressing the media on Tuesday, revealed: "Conor is training with us today so maybe he could be in the squad tomorrow. Jota not, Alisson not, Harvey Elliott not. Federico (Chiesa) I'm not expecting him to be in the squad tomorrow."
Chiesa has been out of action since his first start in the 5-1 Carabao Cup victory over West Ham United back on September 25. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker is also on the mend but isn't expected to return until the final week of November at the earliest.
With Caomihin Kelleher firmly established as the backup keeper, Slot acknowledged he's contemplating whether to give Vitezslav Jaros his first starting nod after the young goalie's Premier League debut off the bench in the win at Crystal Palace earlier this month. "That is something that is going through my head but I haven't made that decision yet," Slot admitted.
"Also it's a decision you include goalkeeper coach in that. I want to hear how fit Caoimh is at the moment as he's played many games."
